Antoine a. "The Steel cowpoke" - Faces of Detroit Series #1

While finishing a graduation shoot, Antoine shouted to us, offering our client the opportunity to take a few pictures while on his Schwinn chopper-style bicycle. They politely declined, however, I connected with him after wrapping the shoot. He told me the story of how much this bike means to him, and let me take it for a ride! (It definitely took some getting used to, just like he said.) I wanted to memorialize such a unique and seemingly random moment, and he obliged me a few photos. Thus inspired the Faces of Detroit series, dedicated to highlighting the brotherly love and connection that exists in Detroit-- despite what the media or anyone else would otherwise have someone believe.
